Reward increased for information in August Harvey fatal shooting

HARVEY, La. (WGNO) — The reward amount for information leading to an arrest in a fatal Harvey shooting that happened in August has increased.
On Aug. 17, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office reported that 21-year-old Andrew Davis IV was fatally shot at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Manhattan Boulevard around 1 p.m.

On Nov. 5, JPSO officials identified 27-year-old Lavanta Carto as a suspect in the investigation. He is wanted on charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and felon in possession of a firearm.

On Tuesday, Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans announced that the reward amount for information that leads to Carto's arrest and indictment has been increased to $10,000.
