Nov 12, 2024
CYNTHIANA, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter in Harrison County is asking for help after two puppies were abandoned at their facility.
Officials say someone tossed the puppies over the shelter’s gate early Monday morning while they were closed.
The shelter is now looking for the dogs’ owner to gather information about the puppies’ age, health, and the whereabouts of their mother.
Shelter officials note that abandoning animals on their grounds is illegal, and they have filed a report with the sheriff. However, they added that if the owner contacts them, no charges will be pressed.
