CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting at a southwest Charlotte gas station. Investigators say the shooting happened around 6:30 Tuesday morning at the Circle K on South Tryon Street. MEDIC says one person was transported to the hospital where CMPD says they were pronounced dead. CMPD says detectives don’t believe that is the main location for the shooting, though police have not provided further information about what other locations may have been involved. The shooting is still under investigation.
