BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) — Brighton senior Lucrezia Pavan is our Player of the Week after leading her team to a historic victory on Saturday. She had 18 kills, 10 digs, 3 blocks, and a 100% server rating to lead her team to a five-set victory over Penfield in the Class AA title game. She was clutch in the decisive final set, recording five kills, including her team's final three, to lift the Bruins to their first sectional title in program history. It was the first time that Brighton had even been in the title game in over three decades. Pavan also had 16 kills in the sectional semifinals against a very tough Hilton squad. The senior outside hitter will attend DII Bentley University to play volleyball for the Falcons. Brighton is off the state tournament for the first time and our Player of the Week is a big reason why.
