Over 17,000 without power after storm hits Central Valley

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Thousands of PG&E customers are without power across the Central Valley after a storm hit the area Monday afternoon.
According to the PG&E Outage Center, over 15,300 customers in Fresno County were without power as of 4:15 p.m. The first outages were reported around 9:45 a.m.

In Merced County, over 400 customers were without power as of 4:15 p.m., and nine customers were affected in Mariposa County. In Kings County, over 840 customers were without power; in Madera County, over 640; and in Tulare County, almost 400.
Power is beginning to be restored in some locations, but several service areas do not have an estimated restoration time, including in and around Fresno's Tower District, where 2,948 customers have been without power since 9:45 a.m.
