The Camry's driver, a 54-year-old man, and his passenger, a 48-year-old woman, were found unresponsive at the scene. Both patients were hospitalized at Hilo Benioff Medical Center and were pronounced dead hours later at 6:38 p.m. The Jeep's driver, a 48-year-old woman, was hospitalized in stable condition at Hilo Benioff Medical Center before being transported to Queens Hospital on Oahu.
