SCDOT to shutdown I26 WB exit ramp to Bush River Road
Nov 11, 2024
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — If you travel along interstate 26 west at Bush River Road get ready to find an alternate route. The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is expected to close the I-26 westbound exit ramp leading to Bush River Road beginning overnight Tuesday November 12, 2024. Officials say drivers will now have to take the expanded Colonial Life Boulevard and I 126 interchange in order to access Bush River westbound just past Saint Andrews Road.
DOT Crews will continue working on this portion of the highway as the third and last part of the Carolina Crossroads Project. Officials say the final stage in construction will permanently alter the traffic pattern along Bush River helping crews make room for future improvements to the I-26, I-20-, I-126 interchange.
Below is a map of the area provided by the Department of Transportation pointing out the exact area you will need to avoid until the project is completed.
