(COLORADO SPRINGS) -- Get ready to lace up your skates and glide into the holiday season! Skate in the Park, Colorado Springs' beloved outdoor ice rink, is returning for its 12th season at Acacia Park in Downtown. The rink will open on Friday, Nov. 15, with public skating sessions scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. To celebrate the opening night, Downtown Colorado Springs will hold a special Holiday Celebration to kick off the season. The event will feature festive tree lightings, a chance for photos with Santa, live bell ringers, and a U.S. Figure Skating demonstration on the rink. The holiday cheer continues with a DJ playing festive tunes for the 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. skating session.
