High school football analyst breaks down University High's battle vs. LHSAA

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Former coach and high school football analyst, Todd Black, analyzes the case between University High School and the penalties handed down by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
Those penalties resulted in the Cubs, otherwise seeded as the 2nd-best team in Louisiana's Division II Select playoffs, missing the playoffs altogether.
The discrepancies revolve around the lack of paperwork for two high school football student-athletes who transferred to the school.
According to Black, for a student to transfer schools, a concurrence form is to be completed by the principals of both schools and kept on file at the receiving school.
The LHSAA investigated the penalties and its Executive Committee upheld the sanctions in a unanimous vote.
University High School football team wins were reportedly revoked. The Cubs' wins were reinstated and they were listed as a competitor in the Division II Select playoffs when the brackets were released on Sunday. U-High football has a BYE week for the first round of state playoffs.
