Man shot, wounded in North Lawndale; suspect in custody

A man was wounded in a shooting in North Lawndale on Monday night, Chicago police said.The man, 26, was sitting inside a basement in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue at 9:11 p.m. when a man fired shots and hit him in the left leg, police said. The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition.A person of interest is in custody, police said.
