Fresno's Monopoly board game to soon hit the shelves
Nov 11, 2024
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - After being announced back in April, the Fresno-based Monopoly board game is almost ready to hit the shelves.
Officials say a private reveal ceremony for the game will be held on Wednesday at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. After being announced six months ago, the game will be available for sale locally and nationally.
The new edition replaces the board game's Atlantic City squares (from Broadwalk to Park Pkace) with Fresno cultural sites, historic landmarks, charitable organizations and businesses.
Officials add the board game also features a customized Community Chest and Chance playing cards to ensure the board is a "historic and enduring tribute to one of the most popular destinations in Central California."
The date for when the board game will hit the shelves is yet to be released.
