Vibrant fall colors added a bright spot to Oregon’s annual Veterans Day ceremony, held outside the Oregon State Capitol in Salem. Despite a gloomy day, about 150 people turned out for the observance, which featured the North Salem High School color guard, a performance of “Taps” and speeches by elected officials and veterans.
