CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Western Massachusetts finally received some rain this weekend. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday due to dry conditions over the past two months resulting in elevated brush fire conditions. New 216-acre Still Brook Park in Feeding Hills opens Factors that fuel brush fires include dry vegetation, mild temperatures, and gusty winds. So far this month there has only been 0.21 inches of rain. Normally November is a dry month as it is, but more consistent rain is needed to make any real impact.
