PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Fire Department battled a fire at an abandoned nightclub on Harris Avenue Monday afternoon.
Around 2:10 p.m., first responders were dispatched to a fire on the third floor of the abandoned building.
Battalion Chief Joe Dillon said the fire was under control in about 20 minutes, and it took extra time for firefighters to get hoses up to the fire due to the size of the building.
Officials say no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
