EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva says police are investigating hateful flyers being distributed in the city. DaSilva said hate-fueled rhetoric has been created and shared by a Nazi organization to residents in the community, and one individual reported they were targeted by “hate-filled literature.” East Providence police are taking extra precautions to ensure public safety and are investigating the hate-fueled rhetoric, according to DaSilva. “Our administration is committed to ensuring that East Providence is the welcoming community that it has always been,” DaSilva said. “A community where it does not matter what your ethnic background is, what your religious beliefs are, or how you identify or choose to live your life.” Categories: News, Rhode Island
