MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- It was a chaotic scene this weekend as Memphis Police say an 18-year-old pistol-whipped a woman, carjacked her and led officers on a police chase before crashing in Whitehaven. (SCSO) Surveillance cameras caught an incident just after 6:30 Saturday night where two masked men carjacked a woman. As they walk into frame, it appears they are not paying any attention to the people coming and going from the gas station off South Third Street. The pair walked to where a woman was putting air in her tires. MPD: Teen leads officers on police chase in stolen car You can't see it in the video but Memphis Police say she was hit in the head with a gun. She said the two then took off with her money, wallet, iPhone and her Toyota Highlander. 10 minutes later, MPD put out a broadcast for the thieves. 20 minutes later, officers spotted the stolen SUV about six miles away and a chase ensued. The driver, who police identified as 18-year-old Martavn Wilson, eventually wrecked the car at a home not far away. A man who was there but didn't want to be identified was there at the time. "I just had came home and I was sitting at the kitchen table," he said. "I heard a car crash and the sirens." 13-year-old, 18-year-old led MPD on chase in stolen car Police say as they chased Wilson, he hit a parked car, took out a mailbox and a utility pole. At the scene Monday, fresh dirt can be seen where it was replaced. "They even brought the K-9," the witness said. Wilson was arrested after the chase. "I stood speechless for like an hour thinking, 'What the hell happened," he said. Police say Wilson refused to provide a statement about what happened.
