RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Here is a reminder to turn on the lights when you wake up to go to the bathroom. Last week, a Columbia woman woke up to find a slithering surprise behind her toilet. Law enforcement was able to trap the ball python and get it into a pillowcase. It is unclear where the snake came from or how it got into the women’s apartment. Officers said they believe it is someone’s pet. They have taken the snake in until its owner comes forward or until they help it find a permanent home.
