Bloomington man arrested, accused of fatally shooting his brother

A 25-year-old man was placed behind bars Friday after he was accused of fatally shooting his 32-year-old brother inside a Bloomington residence.
On Nov. 8, deputies responded to a shooting reported at a home around 5:15 a.m. on the 18800 block of Ninth Street. The victim, Pedro Chavez from Bloomington, was found dead inside the house, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
Detectives later arrested the man’s brother, David Chavez from Bloomington, on suspicion of murder. He is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center.
It was unclear if a weapon was recovered. Details on the circumstances leading up to the shooting and arrest were not released.
