ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A man is in life-threatening condition after being struck by an SUV on Whalen Road in Penfield. According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the intersection of Whalen Road and Five Mile Line Road in Penfield for the report of a person struck. MCSO says the SUV was traveling southbound on Five Mile Line Road and was making a left turn onto Whalen, striking the man as he was crossing the road. The man was transported to the hospital by Penfield Ambulance with life-threatening injuries. MCSO has not said whether or not anyone involved was charged, and the crash is still under investigation.
