Authorities investigate bomb threat sent to Registrar of Voters

(KRON) – More than 100 Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters employees evacuated the building following a bomb threat, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
At 8:17 a.m. on Saturday, the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters building receive a bomb threat. More than 100 employees evacuated the building and the authorities were contacted.
Multiple agencies, including the San Jose Police Department, Sunnyvale Police Department and Standford Department of Public Safety, responded to the scene.

Deputies said they swept the building with bomb-sniffing dogs.
The SCCSO said, “Nothing suspicious has been found. No one is in any immediate danger.”
Once the investigation was complete, the employees were allowed re-entry to the building.
According to the SCCSO, the bomb threat came to the Registrar of Voters' office by email Friday evening and was read the following day.
