Riverside’s annual veterans parade Saturday, Nov. 9, again pulled out all the stops. RELATED: Where to find Veterans Day events in the Inland Empire A Salute to Veterans Parade featured marching bands, classic cars, equestrian units, military vehicles and airplane flyovers. The spectacle — a few days before Veterans Day — wowed the crowd gathered along the streets for the 16th time, taking a route from Riverside City College down Market Street into downtown. It was one of a few veterans events held Saturday, including a car show in Corona, a parade in Jurupa Valley and an event at Riverside’s Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery. Events will include a free patriotic concert in Temecula, a Veterans Day ceremony in Rancho Cucamonga and a parade in Redlands. At Saturday’s Riverside parade, a pancake breakfast was held before the event and a resource expo took place after.
