INDIANAPOLIS — A motorcycle crash on Interstate 465 northbound near Lawrence caused major traffic tie-ups Saturday evening. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation's traffic map, I-465 northbound was closed at mile marker 37 as of 5:28 p.m. Per INDOT, the crash impacted traffic on 465 from East 71st Street to Interstate 69. Public emergency reporting systems indicate first responders were called to the area around 5:12 p.m. on a report of a motorcycle crash. Law enforcement has yet to report whether or not anybody was injured in the crash. The cause of the crash is also unknown at this time. INDOT has not provided an estimated timeline for 465 northbound in the area to reopen, though traffic began moving through the area again around 5:53 p.m. As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
