Tracking periods of rain tonight

After a few dry days, rain showers are set to return to northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio tonight. This is great news, as we continue to deal with drought conditions.
Severe drought continues for the area
Look for clouds to be in place this evening, with perhaps a few spits of rain. It will not be until after midnight tonight that the rain becomes widespread. There will be some isolated pockets of heavier rain and perhaps a rumble of thunder or two. Low temperatures will dip down into the mid-to-upper 40s around midnight before slowly rising as daybreak Sunday approaches.

Scattered rain showers will linger into Sunday morning before we're mainly dry by the afternoon. It will be a windy day Sunday, with occasional southwesterly wind gusts up to 30 mph. As a result, temperatures will get a boost into the mid-60s! Enjoy it before a cold front moves through and we cool down quickly into Sunday night.

Total rainfall amounts will be up to a half an inch, with southeastern areas likely to be closer to this mark. While not a lot of rain, anything helps!
