On Saturday night, Nov. 2, something very special happened in Park City. If you missed it, I’d be surprised that you haven’t heard about it.Locals took back their town and flooded into the newly remodeled Marquis at the center of Main Street. Dozens of local artists reenacted “The Last Waltz” by The Band. The huge local crowd cheered for three hours as the Mountain Town Music production exposed the tremendous talent that exists here in our town. Locals were everywhere, in front of the stage, on stage and behind the stage.  Suffice to say that everyone inside the venue on Saturday night knew Randy Barton! I can’t begin to list all the names that performed, but I will mention Brian Richards, Mimi Kim Griswold and Kenny G. Tip of the hat to Kenny and Mimi for hosting this event. And Brian Richards, wow, just wow!  Brian and his Mountain Town Music crew pulled together a community night we have only dreamed about over the recent years — a local love fest, where the locals came back to their town, specifically Main Street, and celebrated together at a time when unity was viewed as a thing of past generations. Kudos to all those I cannot mention by name herein. Let’s all hope this is just the beginning of showcasing the best of our community. And please, please, please remember Mountain Town Music during Live PC Give PC on Nov. 15! John KenworthyOld TownThe post Local love fest appeared first on Park Record.
