BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — People who live near Istrouma are very familiar with Tony's Seafood. The business has been around for three generations, and it continues to do well in town.
Tony Pizzolato first opened his namesake restaurant in 1959, and it's been located on Plank Road since the 1970s. His grandson Darren is a manager now, and he said the attention to good food and customer service continues to this day.
"We got good people around here," Darren Pizzolato said. "We're good to the people, and the people are good to us."
People can take home raw seafood or pick up a variety of cooked food. They can also shop in the market portion of the store and load up on everything a person needs for a seafood feast.
