Submitted by Coordinator Karen Jean Smith Gallery Coordinator   The variety in nature is remarkable, and the interpretations of nature by artist members of  Baltimore Woods Nature Center illustrate this perfectly. The theme of “Drawing on Talent,” the annual members show, is nature in Upstate New York and it is one of the most diverse exhibits  each year. The exhibit will be on display from Nov. 2 through Dec. 16 in the Art Gallery of the John A. Weeks Interpretive Center at 4007 Bishop Hill Road in Marcellus. The exhibit may be seen when the interpretive center is open on Saturdays from 10 to 4 p.m. and Monday through Friday 9 to 4 p.m. There are no admission or parking fees, and all of the artwork is for sale. It is recommended to call 315-673-1350 in advance to confirm that the gallery space is not being used for another program. “Drawing on Talent” is now in its 16th year. It comprises the work of both professional and  amateur artists, and includes work in an assortment of media including oil paint, watercolors, colored pencil, photography, ceramics, and fiber art. Many of the pieces are accompanied by  interpretive text which always contributes to the appreciation of the work. Among the artworks that visitors to the gallery will enjoy is an oil painting by Karen Burns titled  “Labrador Hollow I.” Those who have visited there know it to be a peaceful place, a sensibility that comes through in the painting. Birders will enjoy “Northern Parula Singing,” a colored  pencil drawing by Anna Stunkel, a naturalist and educator at Baltimore Woods. Bob Ripley  celebrates the spring geese migration with his watercolor “Migration II,” while photographer  Guy Swenson shares his black and white image from Watkins Glen State Park titled “Hidden  Falls.” The participating artists are: Maira Abrams, Lynette Bartlett, Karen Burns, Deborah A.  Connolly, Don Crumb, Bobbi Dean, Milton Franson, Kathleen Guthrie, Alan Johnson, Sam  Kadick, Stephen R. Kankus, Dean R. Kolts, John Kosecki, Nancy Kuss, Beverly Lay, Christy  Lemp, Sue March, Diane Menzies, Laurie A.
