NORTHFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Crews in Warwick were called to assist with a brush fire in Northfield Friday afternoon. According to the Warwick Fire Department, the brush fire is located on South Mountain Road. They are assisting with their tanker truck. Red Flag Warning issued for all of western Massachusetts Western Massachusetts was under a Red Flag Warning once again Friday due to the drought conditions across the area. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. Fire officials are asking residents not to burn outdoors, put out smoking materials completely before disposal, and common sense with any outdoor activity that involves open flames, sparks and embers, or other ignition sources.
