(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Icons will host its grand re-opening on Friday, Nov. 8 beginning at 4 p.m. at its new location in downtown Colorado Springs.
The owners at Icons said, that while they "tried to capture the heart and soul" of their previous space, they can not wait to welcome everyone into their new and larger location at 16 East Kiowa Street.

"We no longer take reservations! Our new space can comfortably serve significantly more than before," according to a post on the bar's website. "We can’t wait to share music and drinks with you in our new space!"
In December 2023, Icons was forced to close along with several other businesses after an accidental fire caused heavy smoke damage to the building. Taste of Jerusalem, Yobel, and the Local Honey Collective were also forced to close their doors.
After the fire, Icons owners, Josh Franklin and John Wolfe, promised the community and their staff, that they would bounce back no matter what it took to reopen. "We want this to be done right, we want it to be done well for the community," the owners previously wrote on social media.

A GoFundMe posted after the fire, titled, 'Bring back Icons,' raised more than $66,000 to help the owners renovate the new space. "We cannot do this on our own," the GoFundMe read. "This is bigger than us. This will take an army of support."
FOX21 News checked in with the owners on Friday morning to ensure the grand re-opening was still on due to the weather conditions, and sure enough, they confirmed it was.
"After months of hard work and support from our community, ICONS is FINALLY ready to REOPEN THIS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8TH," the owners wrote. The celebration is planned to last until 1 a.m. Saturday morning, Nov. 9, weather permitting.
