WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said Friday it arrested the person responsible for a deadly shooting that took place in Southeast Thursday afternoon. MPD said Maurice Jackson, 62, of Southeast faces a murder charge for the killing of Olivia Graves, 24, of Upper Marlboro, Md. Insufficient evidence to charge US Park Police officer in fatal shooting of Dalaneo Martin, DC US Attorney says Police said the shooting happened in the 700 block of Atlantic St. SE at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Graves died at the hospital.
