MPD: Police investigate homicide after man shot multiple times in DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found shot multiple times in Northeast D.C. Thursday night.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that just before 11 p.m. on Nov. 7, officers responded to the 700 block of Edgewood Street after gunshots were heard in the area.

Once on the scene, police officers canvassed the area and located a man with multiple gunshot wounds in the 600 block of Edgewood Street.
Medics were called to the scene and tried several life-saving measures, but he died there.

As the investigation developed, the victim was identified as 30-year-old Tyrone Burch, of Northeast.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call MPD at 202-727-9099 or text the police department's Text Tip Line at 50411.
MPD said it is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
