A winter storm could stifle travel across Colorado today and Saturday, closing roadways and threatening to make driving difficult or impossible on segments of interstates 25 and 70. Colorado’s Department of Transportation warned that travel conditions could become “extreme to impossible” Friday and Saturday, expressing particular concern about I-70 east of Denver and I-25 south of Pueblo. Snow will likely impact travel on I-25 over Monument Hill and I-70 between Denver and Idaho Springs from Friday evening through Saturday morning, the agency said.
