Tour historic homes in Wichita this weekend

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Midtown Citizens Association is hosting their Historic Walking Tour of interior and exterior of homes built at the turn of the century in Wichita.
The tour is Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 10, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The tour will include five homes: 1204, 1212, 1240, 1237, and 1239 N. Topeka. Included this year is Vermilion Rose at 1204 N. Topeka. The Midtown Citizens Association said the last time the address was featured was in the early 1980s. During the tour, citizens will be able to learn about previous owners, the architecture of the time, and what was happening in Wichita when the homes were constructed.

Proceeds from the tour support preserving historic addresses in Wichita as well as a yearly scholarship for a student residing in Midtown attending WSU. Tickets are $20.00 (children 12 and under are free) and are purchased cash or charge at 11th and N. Topeka.
Parking is at Grace Med 1150 N. Broadway and St Paul`s United Methodist Church 1356 N Broadway.
