MANHATTAN (KSNT) - A new art museum in Manhattan is officially opening on Friday after years of work and help from the state of Kansas. The Manhattan Museum of Art and Light combines digital technology with the visual arts in its 100,000 square-feet of space. The museum is the product of five years of work which received $60 million in cash from the Kansas Sales Tax and Revenue (STAR) Bonds along with other donations. "We wanted to bring something that you might find in an urban setting to rule America because it's important for everybody to have access to the arts," said museum Vice President of Development and Operations Erin Dragotto. The first 100 members to visit the museum will get a special token. All museum members will get 10% off all cafe and gift shop purchases as well. The museum will open to the public at 4 p.m. on Nov. 8. What is ‘fluffy popcorn’ and why is it dangerous to your health? For more local news, click here.
