ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department arrested Lawrence Gray, accused of fleeing in a stolen vehicle.
Arrest warrant issued for suspect in Albuquerque warehouse fire
APD says police service aids responded to the area of Coors and Bluewater on Wednesday, November 6, following reports that a white truck had hit multiple cars in a hit and run. Police service aids located the vehicle in a parking lot in the area and called for officers. When officers arrived they determined the license plate was not valid and attempted a traffic stop. Police say the driver intentionally rammed multiple police vehicles and almost struck two officers who were in the parking lot. Police say the vehicle then fled the scene and intentionally rammed several other civilian vehicles.
As officers were pursing the vehicle it crashed into a median near Coors and Central. Gray and a passenger identified as Shianne Temple attempted to flee the vehicle on foot. APD says both suspects were taken into custody and the vehicle was determined to be stolen. Gray was arrested and faces multiple charges including receiving/transferring a stolen motor vehicle. Temple was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
