LITTLE COMPTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Sakonnet Vineyard and Lighthouse Animal Shelter will host a dog adoption event November 9 at the vineyard. The event runs from 1-3 p.m. where attendees will be able to meet shelter dogs who are available for adoption, learn about the adoption process and sample wine and seasonal menu items. The Lighthouse Animal Shelter, located in New Bedford, is an all-volunteer facility that puts a focus on homeless and senior animals rescued from high-intake, high euthanasia rate shelters.   Categories: Massachusetts, New Bedford, News
