PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Firefighters battled an apartment fire in Pawtucket on Friday.
The fire was reported just before 9 a.m. on Freight Street.
A total of 40 firefighters were called to the scene.
Two of the floors of the building were impacted by the fire.
Fire officials said there were hoarding conditions inside one of the apartments.
The American Red Cross is working with the residents who were displaced.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were no reported injuries, although one firefighters was hospitalized for heat exhaustion.
