MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- One person is dead after a shooting at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas on Friday morning. According to the casino's director of communications, the shooting took place in the parking lot of the casino just before 4 a.m. West Memphis Police confirmed that one person died as a result of the shooting, but they have not been identified. WMPD says the incident was isolated and the casino has a security program in place that includes a weapons detection system at every entrance to prevent weapons from entering the building. "The safety and security of our guests and team members is our top priority," said Glen White, Director of Communications. This story will be updated.
