(SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo.) -- Breckenridge opening day is Friday, Nov. 8 and skiers and snowboarders are eager to get the first tracks of the 2024-2025 season. FOX21 News Live and Local Morning Reporter Julie Baker went up to the high country for a preview of opening day and caught up with Kyler, Skyler, and Mike, who camped on the mountain overnight before the ski resort's opening. "It's a tradition, we are always going to be here, forever and always," said Kyler. According to the ski resort, the gondola opens at 8:30 a.m. followed by the first chair at 9 a.m. So far this week, Breckenridge has received more than two feet of natural snow.
