I feel like every year when the NFL’s schedule is released, fans of each team rush to check their team’s regular season slate. When is the home opener? How tough does the schedule appear to be at first glance? And, of course, how many primetime games do we get to watch? Back in the day, you could almost set your clock to things. The vast majority of days, you could count on the Detroit Lions to play at 1 p.m. ET almost every single Sunday—minus the annual Thanksgiving Day game, of course. However, those days are now long gone. For a few years now, the NFL has made it a point to get the Lions on as many primetime games as possible, and why wouldn’t they? The Lions continually draw massive ratings, and they typically put on a good show. So with Week 10 being the week that the Lions travel to Texas for their matchup with the Houston Texans on “Sunday Night Football,” I figured now would be a good time to see what everyone’s primetime preference is. That brings us to today’s Question of the Day: Which NFL primetime slot is your favorite to watch? My Answer: I am going with good old “Sunday Night Football.” Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Monday night game, but there is something about watching the rest of the afternoon’s games knowing you still get to watch the Lions on Sunday night. If it is a home game, then I have to rally myself for what is going to be a really long day of tailgating, and if it is an away game, then I get a chance to whip something delicious up in the kitchen—a win-win situation either way. If we are being honest, none of the broadcast teams do a ton for me, although I do find Cris Collinsworth’s stuff to be pretty funny at times. “Now here’s a guy,” gets stuck in my head almost every time I watch that man call a game. How about you? Which primetime broadcast is your favorite and why? Let us know in the comments below.
