Mt. Hope medical call leads to gunpoint robbery investigation

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police are investigating a gunpoint robbery after responding to a medical call on Mt. Hope Avenue.
According to RPD, officers found a man Friday morning with a laceration. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim told police that he got the injury during a gunpoint robbery in the area of Flint Street and Seward Street. It allegedly happened around 11 p.m. Thursday night.
It's not clear what caused the injury, but officers are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
