Weather Forecast: Wind ramps up and we cool down Saturday
Nov 08, 2024
ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Temperatures hold in the 40s and climb back to the 50s this afternoon. As the low moves toward Maine, its trailing cold front drags across New York State, increasing cloud coverage and winds, with gusts 20-30 mph out of the north Friday afternoon. Regardless, we should still be dry with a lack of moisture along the boundary.
After the front moves through, temperatures tumble into Saturday morning and we'll be near freezing to start the weekend. Expect mostly sunny skies here and it's cold with highs in the upper 40s. This is our only cold day of the next 7-10 days. The previously mentioned secondary low will approach Sunday and bring rain showers, albeit not until the second half of the day. Those showers last through Veteran's Day Monday, tapering off Monday night as the system moves east. Clouds linger into Tuesday, then its dry Wednesday and Thursday before another system to bring rain by next weekend.
