CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A Red Flag Warning has been issued for all of western Massachusetts from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Brush fires continue to burn across Massachusetts: What preventative measures can be taken
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. Any fires that start may spread rapidly and become difficult to extinguish.
Brush fire danger continues to be very high. Do not burn outdoors. Make sure smoking materials are completely extinguished before disposal.
Friday will be another dry & windy day with high brush fire danger. There will be some gusts over 25mph. The skies will be bright in the morning. A few clouds will arrive mid-afternoon. High temperatures will be in the low 60s.
Friday night will be dry with scattered clouds and evening temperatures in the 50s and 40s.
The weekend looks mostly dry and cool with temperatures in the 50s.
