I195 commission offers land for $1 to keep Hasbro in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Amidst fears that Hasbro is leaving Rhode Island, one organization has made quite the offer to keep the company in the Ocean State.
According to a spokesperson for the I-195 Redevelopment District, they’re offering Hasbro exclusive rights to buy land one-acre of land which sits along Dyer Street in Providence for $1.
The offer stands for 6 months, but can be extended another 18 months if necessary.
Hasbro has not responded publicly yet to the offer.
This dramatic offer comes as company executives consider moving out of their Pawtucket headquarters to Boston.
