Man accused in 12 shootings on Interstate 40, at homes in North Carolina in custody

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Drivers are on edge after a suspect shot several vehicles near Gorman Street and Chapel Hill Road this week.
Eight cars and four homes were struck by gunfire between Monday and Thursday. One driver was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

"It makes you anxious," said Peter Radonis who drives on I-40 near Chapel Hill Road daily for work. "You feel a little anxious because you go over these overpasses and never know who's hiding behind there."
Said driver John Carmnate, "It's very concerning. I have to use I-40 all day long for work."
WNCN reports that Andrew Thomas Graney, 23 of Raleigh, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with 11 counts of firing a weapon into an occupied vehicle or dwelling and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Graney is accused in court documents of using "a Llama .45 Max 1 handgun" in all 12 of the shootings. A woman inside of her car was shot in the leg in one of those shootings.
