Discussion:
Patchy dense fog could drop visibility by 1/2 a mile or less this morning for much of the area. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9am. Once the fog lifts, clouds will also clear giving way to more sunshine and highs near 80. The near record warmth is due to a stalled front and layers of warmer air stacked over the Carolinas. Cooler air will arrive by Saturday as high pressure builds in from the north, dropping highs into the upper 60s to near 70. It will stay dry Saturday, but rain chances return with a cold front Sunday, Temps will fall into the low 60s for daytime highs. Showers will taper off by late morning on Veterans Day, with the second half of the day bringing in more sunshine and the return of warmer air as highs drive toward the mid 70s. It will stay dry through mid-week until another front arrives bringing more rain chances and cooler temps Wednesday into Thursday.
