Clovis firefighters deployed to assist in Ventura County's 'Mountain Fire'

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Firefighters with the Clovis Fire Department are joining forces with other firefighters to contain the Mountain Fire burning in Ventura County.
The Clovis Fire Department announced on Thursday their OES 5306 unit was deployed as part of a strike team to the Mountain Fire. On Thursday, OES 390 joined them as part of an additional strike team to the fire burning in Ventura County.
Clovis firefighters join Kings County firefighters and the Porterville Fire Department to combat the Mountain Fire. Kings County Firefighters say the fire has affected and damaged multiple structures.
The Mountain Fire started just before 9 a.m. Wednesday near Balcom Canyon Road and Bradley Road, north of the 118 freeway in Ventura County. As of Thursday night, the fire has burned 20,485 acres and is 5% contained.
