TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Six suspects were arrested after brutally beating a man to death in Farmersville, The Tulare County Sheriff's Office said. Around 1 a.m. on Oct. 27, deputies were called to the 29100 block of Road 166 in Farmersville for a man lying on the ground bleeding. On scene, deputies say they found 25-year-old Angel Puga of Farmersville, suffering from blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound. Puga died on the scene from his injuries. Upon investigation, sheriff's officials say they discovered that Puga was at a large Halloween party. As he was leaving, he was confronted by a group of gang members who began beating him. After being shot, the sheriff's office says the partygoers fled the area. An autopsy determined that Puga died from blunt-force trauma injuries despite being shot. According to detectives, 20-year-old Landon Woods of Exeter, 18-year-old Eric Bullard of Tulare, 22-year-old Matthew Makert of Visalia, a 17-year-old boy, and two 16-year-old boys, were arrested early Thursday morning under suspicion of Puga’s death.
