ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After an opening season loss to a very talented NAU team, the UNM women's basketball team bounced back with a 66 to 56 victory of Morehead State Thursday night. Lobos senior Viane Cumber had a double double performance of 23 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Cumber was 7 of 12 from the three point line. Three Lobos finished in double figures. Hulda Joaquim, like Cumber, finished with a double double. Joaquim scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Alyssa Hargrove finished with 11 points. Aileen Marquez led Morehead with 21 points. Next for UNM is the first road trip of the season. The Lobos are at Texas Tech Tuesday. The game has a 5 pm start time.
