UNM ready for tough test against UCLA

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – In just the team's second game of the season, Lobo men's basketball is set for arguably its toughest test of the season. UNM will take on No. 22 UCLA for a neutral-site game against UCLA.
Going into the game, UNM head coach Richard Pitino hopes his squad will step up defensively. The Lobos game up 15 three-point shots earlier this week against Nichols on 41% shooting. Offensively, the Lobos were cold in the season opener, but the belief is the team will turn it on shortly.
"Everybody has got to be ready to shoot the ball," said Pinto. "I have ultimate faith in CJ, Mustapha, they're going to knock down shots. And, if we don't, we got to attack the basket. We got to throw the ball to Nelly."
"I feel like we just have to work on our defense and work on our rebounding, whenever we shoot the ball from three point range," Jr Joseph said. "I feel like that's what we need to focus right now because we're not getting getting a lot of rebounds. We're not getting stops on the three point line so we need to work on that."
UNM and UCLA tip off Friday night at 9 p.m. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
