For the family of missing 19-year-old Mischa Johnson, every step toward closure counts.
"The moment CID (Criminal Investigations Divison) detained him, I was kind of already prepared myself for the worst," stated Mishca's older sister, Marianna Tapiz.
According to the Army Office of Special Trial Counsel, Mischa's husband, Dewayne Arthur Johnson II, will face additional charges including the murder of Mischa, intentionally killing her unborn child, obstruction of justice, and the possession of child pornography. Dewayne remains in pretrial confinement pending a preliminary hearing.

"We've been relying on each other, leaning on each other, talking, kind of staying close, staying focused on looking for Misha. We do want to at least say goodbye to Misha in a way she deserves," said Mischa's cousin-in-law, Selena Mendez.
Mischa was about six months pregnant when she disappeared from her Schofield home in July.
"My children don't have an aunt anymore," said Tapiz. "With my first pregnancy, I had Mischa all to myself. She was over in my house every day and with this one, I don't have her. Definitely feels like something is missing."
Both Mischa's sister and cousin-in-law were also pregnant around the same time. The women remembered when they were all excited to have their newborns.
"Me and her, that was all we talked about. How we would be handling motherhood and the excitement and stuff like that, and then now it feels kind of like it's empty," stated Mendez.
A vigil for Mischa will be held on Dec. 29, at 4 p.m. The location is still being decided by her family.

"I'm angry. I feel betrayed. I feel robbed. It's tough because we accepted him into our family. We were open and we loved him just as much as she did. So, to have this happen we're still processing," said Tapiz.
